Do your kids shoes reek to high heaven? You take out the insoles to wash in the washer, then you inadvertently throw them in the dryer, making them shrink, then they're too small, then the kid is whining. Wait, what am I talking about? Kids don't whine. Ever. What?
I am so done with that, and the smelly, groty insoles.
This is wh
at you need ------------------------------------------------------->Then throw the little suckers out on the front porch to dry in the sun.
And with scrubbing them with the brush, all the black dirt, grime, etc. came off. And bonus, it took about 4 minutes.
Was chatting with a friend this a.m. whose husband travels as mine does and we were discussing dinner while dad is away. Mommy's want it easy, FYI. Side note, when your hubs is getting new position and they say travel is 20%, yay, that means 40%. Okay moving on...
Do your kids love hot dogs but you don't want to fire up the grill? Cook them in the oven. Grab a large cookie sheet, your cooling rack and sit it on the cookie sheet, this allows the hotdog juices (gross) to fall down on the sheet. Or you could skip the rack and just let your dogs cook and soak in their juice...that's your business.
Pre-heat the oven to 350, then cook for 12-14 min. This actually works well with bacon too, except it cooks longer. Oh, line the cookie sheet with foil prior to cooking. Easy cleanup.
Anywho, the dogs crisp up so nice. None of this boiled (gross) or thrown in the micro. Nope, crispy, yummy dogs. And please purchase Hebrew National, they are Kosher for heaven sake which makes me feel a bit better about what's actually tightly squeezed in that casing. (gross).
For real, this post is b/c I love getting tips from other women on how they roll at home and make the most of all that consumes our brains. Including, stinky feet and hot dogs.
