We Know

This is going to be a short, soap-box-standing post. Here goes.

If you have lived or grew up North of the Mason-Dixon line, please keep your comments to yourself about how we Georgians do not know how to drive or operate in the snow. We know.

I have been fake chuckling, justifying, explaining, saying the same thing, for years and years and years. I'm kinda over it.

We are well aware that we do not know what we are doing, and we are fine with it. This is the South, not the North. South is hot, North is cold.

But of course, since we do live in the South, we tolerate your rude comments about how nuts we all are, by politely nodding, smiling our sweet Southern smiles, and keeping our mouths shut about what we're really thinking about you...maybe you could follow suit.

Now stepping off soap-box.

Yikes! I'm not even sure it's a matter of knowing how to drive in snow--they have snow plows; we don't. (Okay, there might be a little bit of knowing how to drive in snow, too). :)

We are certainly not prepared...not for the roads to freeze, and not even to go out and play in it...kids in rain boots...mommy with plastic bags on her feet...not prepared at all! :)

As a sign I saw that said something like this- Atlanta Population: 4.5 million; Snowplows: 8. You do the math.
